Works on the Draft Statute on the System of the Royal Capital City of Vilnius: A Forgotten Page from the History of Vilnius Local Government in the Interwar Period

Abstract

The first part of the paper presents the work on the preparation of the Statute of the City of Vilnius in the interwar period. The Local Government Act of 1933 granted the six largest cities of the time their own statute. The paper also describes the draft statute prepared by the secretary of the Statute Committee, which was created as a result of the work of the Statute Subcommittee.
