Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has had a negative impact on the economy. These phenomena have had far-reaching direct and indirect negative economic consequences. The situation became so severe that the typical mechanisms of the market economy required support in the form of interventionist measures. The application of these instruments, especially in crisis situations, seems justified; however, this process must be correct in terms of legislative technique, legal protection, and economic sense. This paper focuses on analysing selected provisions included in Polish legislation, particularly the Act on special provisions in the field of counteracting support for aggression against Ukraine and protecting national security. The unprecedented change in economic reality is forcing a transformation in the approach to instruments of state interventionism.
